President & CEO

I am Leonard M. Brunkey, the CEO and Founder of Keystone Financial Services, L.L.C. My career, spanning over 30 years in the financial services industry, began in 1988 while I was still in college at Michigan State University. I graduated in 1990 with a BA in Finance. In this industry, the need to keep up with constant change means that learning is never-ending. Over the years, I've earned various qualifications, including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation, Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Accredited Investment Fiduciary. Additionally, I've completed my FINRA Series 6, 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 certifications.

Before establishing Keystone Financial Services, L.L.C. in 1995, I gained invaluable insights and expertise from working at two major Wall Street investment firms during the first six years of my career. These experiences laid the groundwork for me to venture into entrepreneurship and manage my own investment and insurance consulting firm. Throughout my career, I've had the privilege of conducting numerous educational seminars at local businesses and large corporations, including Rockwell Automation and Arvin Meritor, both located in Troy, MI. I shared insights on diverse investment-related topics, estate planning, and tax-related matters with local attorneys and CPAs. At Keystone Financial Services, we are dedicated to supporting individuals navigating life transitions while planning for a secure retirement, as well as aiding small businesses in implementing retirement plans or employee benefits. Many of our clients have been with us for decades and have become like extended family.

In addition to my financial services career, I've had the honor of serving my country in the U.S. ARMY for 13 years. My initial training, while on active-duty military service, was as a Combat Medic and Physical Therapy Specialist. I served in the field and in large hospitals at several military bases around the U.S. After my initial active-duty commitments, I transferred to the Army Reserve and Michigan Army National Guard as a Commissioned Officer in Michigan. In my last position, I served as a Fire Direction Officer (FDO) for A Battery 1-182 Field Artillery Battalion in the Michigan ARNG, resigning my commission in 1998.

I have been happily married to my wife Pamela for 31 years. She has been a source of strength and support throughout my career. We have two children together: my daughter Madeline, who graduated from Oakland University with a BA in Communications and is now my business partner, and my son Barret, who received a BS and MS in Accounting from Michigan State University and is a practicing CPA.

When I am not at the office, I enjoy a round of golf and spending time with my family and friends.
